1. One message per slide
Got more messages? Add more slides and give your ideas some space to breathe.
2. Five elements or less per slide
The human brain can only process 5-6 elements at a glance, so remove any extra elements and keep it simple.
3. Two fonts per presentation
Unless you’re a designer, don’t get cute and start mixing styles. Need some variation? Try using bold, italic or different colors
4. Seven words or less per line
Why? So people don’t have to listen and read at the same time. This is a PowerPoint presentation, not a Word document.
5. Three to five bullets per list
Bullets can help or hurt a presentation. Stick to 3-5 points per slide. Need more? Kill some darlings or start a new slide.
